Valentine’s Day Dress Up
For us girls, it seems like Valentine’s Day is all about looking and feeling our best. Everyone wants to have the perfect outfit, that hairstyle your boyfriend actually likes
For some, it’s a day to celebrate the person they love, others may be in the awkward beginning stages of their relationship, and they’re trying to keep it cool on this mushy holiday. There are also those girls who are single and loving it, just ready to go out with their friends and have a good time.
No matter what category you fall in, we all want to look and feel our best. Most people pick out their favorite outfit ahead of time, and maybe even take into account which hairstyle their boyfriend actually likes on them, but one tough area in the beauty department on Valentine’s Day is my favorite… the lip color.
For the beginning of a relationship, and the first Valentine’s Day to go along with that – or even a first date, it’s important to look put together and cute, but don’t go overboard. For this I have chosen the Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry for a sheer wash of color. It’s an expected red for this holiday, but with a little bit less punch. This feels like a lip balm, and will fade beautifully throughout the night, with or without touchups.
The next option is for those ladies who are hitting the town with their girls, and can wear something a little different without feeling uncomfortable. Sometimes guys are a little afraid of girls with dark lips, but your friends will always understand! MAC Rebel is the perfect darkish but still pretty color to go for.
This last option ups the romance level with some full-on RED lips. Even better, I chose the Revlon Matte Color Balm. “Matte” means that the color will stick around through dinner, drinks, and perhaps even a little smooch at the end of the date. Even better, it comes already sharpened, so it’s super easy to apply, even for beginners.
No matter what your plans are this Valentine’s Day, one of these lip colors will see you through day and night.
