To be eligible for employment, a student must be enrolled in at least 6 hours of graduate or undergraduate credit each semester.
Applicants may be assigned a project to determine his or her level of skill before a final hiring decision is made. The project then becomes the intellectual property of The Bulletin and may be published without compensation to the employee candidate.
All student employees must sign an employment contract though the student publications business manager and the student affairs office before being placed on the university payroll system. Contracts, including copies of all paper identification (social security card & driver’s license), must be processed prior to the first day of active employment.
Advertising staff are required to undergo a background check before working.
