On April 20 Emporia State athletics held their Hall of Honor induction ceremony for 2022. Six individuals and one team were inducted.
The 1936 men’s track and field distance medley relay team was inducted. It’s been over 50 years since they last competed, making them the first legacy induction. Duward Crooms, Archie San Romani, Paul Bridges and Norman Rhoads made up the relay.
Josh Honeycutt (2008-2011) was inducted for his time in track as well, he was a national champion.

Another national champion in track, Laura Mayo Parker (1997-1998).
Marcella Bayon (2004-2008) was inducted for her time as a women’s tennis player.
All-American Angela Mahon Hazlett (2008-2011), former ESU softball player, along with Lance Nichols (1957-1960) and Rainer Martens (1961-1964) of ESU baseball.
