The charges against a Kappa Sigma fraternity member were dismissed on Nov. 9. The charges were in connection with a reported sexual assault on Nov. 1 at the Kappa Sigma fraternity house located at 136 W. 12th St. The order to dismiss, filed at Lyon County District Court at Emporia, dismissed the two counts of rape along with two other criminal charges and one misdemeanor on the request of Amy Aranda, first assistant County Attorney.
