This week I decided to change it up a bit. Most of my previous blogs have been either about women’s fashion or just overall advice for both genders. This week, however, I decided to talk about men’s fashion.

Many men are perceived to not put a lot of thought into what they wear, but this is not the case. In fact many men enjoy shopping and getting new clothes just as much as any girl out there. However, men don’t usually get credit and compliments about the way they dress like women do. How a man dresses actually says a lot about him. If a man is well dressed, he is more likely to be taken seriously in society and given more opportunities.

Men’s fashion has changed a lot over the past years. Right now, a lot of men pay attention to the brands of clothing being worn. For example, two men could be wearing a plain white t-shirts, but if one of those t-shirts is branded, then it is more fashionable than the other. Although this may not make any sense, unfortunately, this is the path fashion is on right now. Some examples of brands that are regarded as being fashionable are Nike, Adidas, Stussy, Obey, Saucony, Ralph etc. When shopping, sometimes spending that extra dollar for a branded item of clothing can be worth it.

Not only is the brand men choose to wear important, but also how they wear it.

Not all men can wear the same clothes. Some pieces of clothing suit different men. When trying to be fashionable, it is important to know what suits you and what does not. For example, not all men like to wear skinny jeans. There are ways to follow this trend without making you completely uncomfortable. Instead of buying jeans that stick to your legs, you can search for jeans that are slim fitted. This will give of the impression of skinny jeans, but they won’t be glued to your legs.

Another popular style right now is flannels. This is one of my favorite men’s trends because it works for almost all guys. Most guys are not opposed to wearing a flannel like some are skinny jeans. If you want to spice your flannel up a bit, look for one with a colored front pocket. Pac Sun is selling these right now and I love them!

Overall, it is important for men to pay attention to what they wear and when searching for new clothing to pay attention to the brands and what fits them best.
