The weather is getting colder, which means it is finally sweater season! There isn’t much I like more than a big, comfy sweater that’s cute and warm. The best part about sweaters is that almost any kind of sweater is considered cute. You can find the funkiest sweater and make it work for a perfect fall outfit!
A big trend this season is funky colors. When shopping, you may see sweaters in a deep yellow, olive green, or maroon tent. These colors just scream fall weather and are the perfect addition to your wardrobe. Pair these sweaters with leggings, a scarf and some boots and you’re set.
My favorite place to shop for this apparel is Emporia’s Goodwill. It’s so simple and cheap. Go to Goodwill, find the sweater section, look through sweaters that are a size or two too big, and find your winner. One of my favorite sweaters is a chunky, teal sweater I found a couple weeks ago at Goodwill. It only costed me $3 which is a great bargain.
My tip for finding the perfect sweater for this season is finding one that is the right size. Oversized clothing is in right now and it is so cozy, so take advantage of this style trend. Find a sweater that is big enough to wear with leggings, meaning it covers your bottom, and one that has long sleeves. These sweaters will save you from hauling a coat around campus with you because they will keep you warm in this chilly weather. The color isn’t as important, but if you can, try and find a funky color to really add to your fashionable outfit.
Sweaters can be expensive, so check out the local Goodwill and get to shopping. If you don’t find a sweater the first time, don’t hesitate to go back. They are always having new additions so make it a frequent place to visit. It’s my favorite place to go when I start having shopping withdrawals, but want to save money. Happy shopping!
