Ask any woman what the best part of her day is, and she will undoubtedly say it is those few moments after she unhooks her bra and unleashes the hounds.
For centuries, women have been expected to strap down and conceal her breasts from public view, while men are allowed to parade around topless all day long without a single complaint.
Gaining popularity through female celebrities on Instagram since May 2014, the “Free the Nipple” campaign is about gaining equal rights not only through censorship on social media websites, but also in real life when it comes to breastfeeding infants in public, which is illegal in 35 states.
The “Free the Nipple” campaign is a massive movement that is aimed to decriminalize the female body and provide women the same freedoms men have in today’s society and allow societal norms to catch up to the current century.
All women deserve this freedom – from the hot tottie with the rockin’ body to the groovy granny with the saggy panties. Every woman deserves to feel total freedom whenever she pleases. It does not matter if grandma has to tie her breasts behind her neck in order to not step on them, she, too, needs to feel the breeze graze across her nipples and allow her breasts to get a nice lineless tan.
Why should women have to hide their most prized possessions anyway? It is not like we all haven’t seen a pair of boobs at least once at some point in our lifetimes.
We all enjoy looking at breasts; for women, it allows us to compare our bust size to another female. For those women who are well endowed, it stops all the questions about whether they are real or if the bra is being stuffed because there is nothing to stuff.
In addition, who has not seen a man bend, stretch, drop something or contort himself in some way to steal a forbidden glimpse? Why not make it easier and remove the blouse and bra altogether?
The torture has gone on long enough. Women need to be released from the shackles of brassieres and have the beasts hang free. It is time to step away from the Middle-Ages and into the 21st century. It is time women had the privileges men do.
It is time to free the nipple.
