Jacey Cantrell, a May 2017 ESU elementary education graduate, died last Wednesday in Junction City, Kansas. Cantrell was 22.
She was a fourth grade teacher at Eisenhower Elementary School in Junction City.
Cantrell was born on November 29, 1994, in McPherson, KS to Matthew and Jennifer (Stucky) Cantrell.
She attended Canton-Galva High School and graduated as valedictorian in 2013. Cantrell graduated summa cum laude with honors from Emporia State in May 2017, according to the obituary from Stockham Family funeral home.
Cantrell enjoyed photography, editing photos and spending time with Eli, her fiance, according to Stockham Family funeral home.
Cantrell is survived by her fiance: Eli Janzen; parents: Matthew and Jennifer Cantrell; brother: Wesley Cantrell; grandparents: Barbara and Lawton Nuss, Carolyn Smith and Brad and Connie Stucky; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
The visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. tonight at Stockham Family Funeral home in McPherson. The funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at First Christian Church, McPherson.
