Voting for Homecoming Court begins at noon on Nov. 1 and closes at noon Nov. 4. Students should receive an email on their student accounts with instructions on how to vote.
There are five candidates for Homecoming Queen.
Elizabeth Blevins, senior nursing major, is currently a member of the Didde Catholic Campus Center, where she helped start the Didde choir, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Student Athletic Advisory Committee. Blevins is a four-time athletic honor student chosen for the MIAA All-Academic Team.
Jessie Farnsworth, senior nursing major, is a member of the Honors College and Sigma Sigma Sigma. Farnsworth is active in fraternity and sorority life, being a white rose in Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. She has also been involved in Special Olympics, the Down’s Syndrome Guild of Greater Kansas City and Happy Hearts Working, Inc.
Lillian Lingenfelter, senior secondary social sciences education major, is a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma and the Interdisciplinary Secondary Education Alliance. Lingenfelter is also a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters and is an Americorps VISTA.
Moira Pyle, senior marketing major, is involved in Sigma Sigma Sigma, the Panhellenic Council, E-Team, Beta Gamma Sigma, Business Student Ambassadors, and the Peer Mentor Program.
Payton Shook, senior nursing major, is president of the ESU Department of Nursing Kansas Association of Nursing Students and the consultant of Kansas Association of Nursing Students. Shook is treasurer of the ESU Mens Assembly of Nursing, a representative for the Nursing Student Council and a nursing ambassador. She also serves as a Kaplan student representative and a member of AAMN, NSNA, KANS and E-KANS, as well as multiple honors societies.

Jared Germann, senior communications major, is currently chapter president of the Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity, and a member of the Order of Omega Greek Honor Society.
Joshua Hoeven, senior communication major, is a marketing assistant in the Theatre Department and Fraternity and Sorority Life Office. He is involved in the Alpha Kappa Lambda fraternity, Zoiks! Improv Comedy Troupe, and the E-team.
Barret Koch, senior psychology major, is involved in ESU Ambassadors, Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity, Blue Key Honor Society, Psychology Club and Psi Chi.
Wyatt Sander, senior health promotion and pre-physical therapy major, is president of SAAC. Sander’s is also on the Emporia State Track & Field team and a member of the HPER club.
Andrew Wimp, senior marketing major, is president of Sigma Phi Epsilon, a senator in Associated Student Government and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and Marketing Club. Wimp is also involved in Big Brothers Big Sisters off campus.
The announcement of Homecoming King and Queen will take place at halftime during the ESU football game Saturday at Welch Stadium. The game begins at 2 p.m.
