County officials announced that Lyon County would be under a stay-at-home order as of 12:01 a.m. Thursday morning in a Facebook live stream on Wednesday. The order is effective for 30 days, until April 25.
An additional case of COVID-19 was also confirmed on Wednesday by county health officials. A fourth case is presumed positive, according to Lyon County Public Health.
“Lyon County residents are to stay at home, or their place of residence, during the term of this order with the following exceptions: going to & from work, participating in outdoor activities, or obtaining necessary supplies for your home or business,” said a press release from Flint Hills Community Health Center. “Social distancing (at least 6 feet apart from other people) must be practiced at all times, whether in the home, at work or outdoors.”
