“The Tallgrass Science and Nature Writing Workshop aims to help communicate the importance of the natural world to a general audience by bringing together writers, and scientist, journalist and artist, poets and photographers” according to the Center for Great Plains study website.
During this workshop participants can expect to participate in field work on Friday and a full day of presentations on Saturday.
“We are putting writers and scientists together in hopes that both groups can benefit,” said Thomas. ”We need people who can effectively communicate to the world.”
