The Hornet men fell Jan 17 in an away game against Pitt State, 87-67.
The Gorillas held the lead throughout the game, after starting off with a six point lead in the first quarter.
At 14:22 in the first half, the Hornet men had a four point deficit.
However, soon following, the Gorillas went on a 10-0 run to increase the Hornet deficit to over ten points at the conclusion of the first quarter. The score was 21-39.
The score gap continued to widen throughout the second quarter and the Hornets could not come within 16 points of the Gorillas for the rest of the game. Emporia State fell to Pitt State by 20 points, with a final score of 87-67.
Stephaun Limuel, senior guard, scored a total of 15 points and had 11 rebounds.
Duncan Fort, redshirt freshman forward, scored 12 points in the second half, which was a career high.
The Hornet Men will compete at 1:30 p.m. this Sunday in William Allen White Auditorium. They will play Southwest Baptist University in conference play.
