Ed Bashaw, current dean of the College of Business at Arkansas Tech. was named the new dean for the ESU School of Business onFeb. 17.
The final decision came down to David Cordle, provost and vice president of Academic Affairs.
“There was a clear consensus for which finalist we wanted,” Cordle said. “We are pleased to we were able to have the dean we wanted and needed.”
As dean, Bashaw will be the chief administrator for the school of business within the university. Bashaw will also provide leadership for academic programs, supervise the faculty and staff and represent the school for the business to the university
committee.
“I’m excited for the position,” Bashaw said. “I really think it’s going to be a great fit and I’m really excited to work with a lot of the assets.”
Bashaw will begin his role as dean of the School of Business on June 5.
