As part of our new Audience First Initiative, we will be spacing out our print editions with online editions.
What this means is that you, the readers, may notice that on a week when a new edition of The Bulletin is suppose to come out, last weeks news will still be there. So where can you find this week’s hot topics, breaking news, thought provoking opinions and sports
excitement?
Online on our current website, esubulletin.com.
This was a necessary sacrifice The Bulletin had to make to in order to cover the costs of The Bulletin’s new website and the change over to it.
Online news is a new, developing business tactic that all newspapers are conforming to.
This will be a faster way to get news, because some of our articles will end up online long before the others.
The process of making our print edition is a long process of checking and double checking and triple checking that our articles conform to AP Style, are grammatically correct and error free before it is pasted onto a layout and then sent to Salina, KS to be printed.
With our online editions, articles are able to be posted online immediately after they’ve been looked over by our team of editors and the photo has been attached.
As part of our Audience First Initiative, our team of writers and photographers are going to be working diligently to deliver hard breaking news stories daily through our new website.
We’ll continue to do print editions but they will be spaced out with our online editions.
Our production schedule for our online only editions are as follows: Sept. 14, Oct. 5 and Oct. 13.
The Bulletin will deliver a print copy on Sept. 22, Sept. 29, Oct. 20, Oct. 26, Nov. 3, Nov. 10, Nov. 17, and Dec. 1.
