Let’s face it, children aren’t the only ones munching on goodies come when Halloween rolls around. And if we’re being real honest, the bite-size Snickers and Reese’s don’t end on Halloween. We tend to keep popping these guys for several days afterwards.
There is certainly no harm in snacking on one or two treats. But, if you’re anything like me, your sweet tooth gets the best of you from time to time, and it may be smart to pick your battles wisely. Remember, the name of the game is portion control, so even the best candies can quickly become bad if they’re over-consumed. In general, the sweeter candies will be lower in calorie, while the chocolately goodness will come at a small cost. Shoot for snack or even mini sizes, when you’re watching calories.
