Council Grove has confirmed their first two positive cases of COVID-19 earlier this week in a press release from Morris County Hospital.
The hospital has since taken further action to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the community by closing all entrances except for the emergency room entrance, limiting visitors to the immediate family of patients, allowing only 1 visitor at a time and suspending all elective outpatient surgeries and non-urgent clinic visits.
“Allowed visitors will be asked to wear a hospital issued mask, to wash their hands often, before entering a patient room, upon exiting a patient room, and prior to leaving the facility,” said the press release from the hospital. “Areas to wash your hands and/or use hand sanitizer are located frequently throughout the building.”
If you are not feeling well and are experiencing either coronavirus or flu symptoms, call (instead of visiting) the Student Wellness Center at 620-341-5222 or Newman Regional Health, 1201 W 12th Street, at 620-343-6800.
