The police investigation against Corbin Crable, former treasurer for Kansas Collegiate Media, has been reopened, according to Stacy Sparks, president of KCM and associate professor of journalism at Southwestern College. Crable previously admitted to embezzling $21,446.94 from the organization.
“I’m sorry, but I can’t comment any further,” Sparks said. “KCM has turned to authorities for further guidance.”
Detective Lance Jordan of the Overland Park Police Depart confirmed that the investigation is still open, but could not comment on the particulars of the case.
No charges have currently been filed.
This comes after Crable confessed his embezzlement in writing to KCM, and posted a public apology on Crable his social media.
A spreadsheet of Crable charges that was sent to KCM members upon request totaled $35,152.62. Some of his charges are listed below.
He spent $214.50 at Stubhub, a place to buy and sell tickets, such as concerts, theater and sports, Feb. 9, 2017.
Crable spent $52.35 at Dominos in Overland Park and tipped $2, April 14, 2015.
Crable spent $369.50 on vegas.com, a website that sells tickets to shows, hotels, flights and attractions.
Crable did not respond multiple requests for an interview.
