The Lady Hornets started the fourth quarter on a 9-0 run with three three pointers from Ngoie pushing their lead to 66-45.
With 4:54 left in the game, ESU had a 74-54 lead. The lead due, in part, to a nearly perfect 15-16 shooting night from the free throw line.
“It’s just my teammates finding me in the right spot and I was just so open,” Ngoie said.
The lady Hornets scored 52 points in the second half and had 30 fourth quarter points. They held Lindenwood to just 29 points in the whole second half.
“I think it all started on the defensive end,” Moten said. “We held them to bad shots and rebounded well.”
The Lady Hornets will continue their season this Thursday as they travel to Edmond, Oklahoma to take on Central Oklahoma.
