Greg Kossover will lead the presidential search committee for Emporia State. He was selected by the Kansas Board of Regents during their January meeting.
An alumnus of ESU, Kossover graduated in 1985 with a degree in accounting. He was also the lead donor for the new tennis complex on campus, which is named after him. Currently, he works as the executive vice president of Equity Bank, according to an email from the university sent out Jan. 19.
Following Kossover’s appointment, the rest of the committee will be selected. It will be composed of various members of the ESU community — Such as students, faculty, staff and alumni, according to Blake Flanders, KBOR president.
Once those members are selected, a leadership profile will be built, with input from the larger campus community, including those that are not on the search committee. The job listing will then be posted online, and applicants will be interviewed by the search committee. These interviews will be private, and only once someone has been permanently hired will the next president be announced. Flanders said he anticipates the announcement will come late Spring.
