Students will take to the polls April 7 through April 9 to elect the next cohort of Associated Student Government representatives, who will assume office for the 2026-27 school year.
Voting opened at 9 a.m. Tuesday and will close at 4 p.m. each day polls are open. Students can vote for student body president, vice president and the senators who will represent their school electronically through ASG’s electronic voting system or in-person at locations in Cremer Hall, Visser Hall and the Memorial Union. Students may vote for those on the ballot or write in candidates.
Results of the election will be announced once they are reviewed and validated by ASG officials after polls close Thursday evening.
Here’s who’s vying for a spot in the student senate.
ASG President and Vice President
Current senators freshmen Jake Brady and Gage Harris are running uncontested in the race for the executive ticket. With Brady running for president and Harris as vice president, the two have campaigned on pillars of engage, succeed and uplift during election season.
“Both of us have a burning passion for ESU that we have gained in our short time here, and the opportunity to serve is something that we couldn’t pass up,” Harris told The Bulletin.
If elected, Brady and Harris will seek to continue support for efforts and resources aligned with student well-being, increase student engagement on campus through consistent campus activities and senator visibility, and provide resources for students that help them tackle “the financial and practical realities of college life.” This would include advocating for higher student wages and providing workshops on taxes, W-2s and housing applications, according to Brady.
“By bridging the gap between campus life and professional preparation, we can ensure every student has the tools they need to stay on track during and after their time at ESU,” Brady said.
